Slippery, provocative, mysterious…. Banksy, the British artist whose identity is still unknown, is considered one of the main contemporary street art icons. His art, many times satirical, address universal issues such as politics, culture or ethics. In the center of Manhattan, an "unauthorized" Banksy’s exhibition, dedicated to the enigmatic artist, lets visitors dive into the controversial artistic universe of the most influential creator of present time

80 genuine & authenticated artworks

The exhibition will include over 80 original works, sculptures, installations, videos and photos including the now classics of the artist (presumed to be British), like the essential 'Girl with Balloon', similar to the one destroyed by the artist at the auctioneer Sotheby's in London, his portrait of Lenin, the 'Fallen Angels' smokers cigarette or his explosive 'Monkey Detonator'. These pieces come from private collections and - with the collaboration of Lilley Fine Art / Contemporary Art Gallery - will be exhibited in New York for the first time!

A multisensory artistic installation & VR experience

For the very first time, the public will be able to discover the works of Banksy in their natural habitat, as if they were truly there, thanks to the magic of technology. An impressive multimedia installation, created especially for this exhibition, will welcome visitors, revealing clues of the mystery artist and highlighting his most important pieces - framing his unusual career wrapped in controversy. In addition, enjoy at the end of the exhibition a virtual reality experience through the artist’s career, created especially for this event.

Passionate about art: stop everything! It's official, NYC is hosting “Banksy: Genius or Vandal?”, The new interactive exhibition dedicated to the famous and enigmatic British artist. The experience is designed as an immersion in the mysterious universe of the Bristol street artist and offers a unique journey through more than 100 genuine and certified works on loan from private collectors from all over the world. The exhibition offers a unique Virtual Reality experience that gives a new dimension to the artist's works and takes you on a multisensory journey to the heart of the work of the mysterious master of the streets, of which no one is indifferent.

No, the works belong to a private collection and are not for sale. However, there will be a gift shop with catalogs and other items related to the exhibition.

Does the experience include an audio guide?

Yes it does! It is free and works through your phones, so if you want to access it please bring your own pair of headphones.

Is vaccination mandatory to attend this experience?

In compliance with NYC Health orders, until the 14th of December 2021 to access this experience, people 12 and older must provide evidence of at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccination authorized for emergency use by the FDA or WHO before the experience opening time. From the 14th of December 2021 people age 5 or older will be included in the same rule, and, furthermore, from the 27th of December 2021, people age 5 or older will need to show proof they have received two COVID-19 vaccine doses, except for those who have received the one dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. For any additional information regarding COVID vaccination rules, please visit the NYC Health Department website here.

I have not been vaccinated and have already purchased tickets to this experience. Can I get a refund?

Until the 26th of December 2021, you may still attend this experience by providing evidence of at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccination authorized for emergency use by the FDA or WHO. From the 27th of December 2021 onwards, people age 5 or older will need to show proof they have received two doses of COVID-19 vaccination approved by the FDA or WHO, except for those who have received the one dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

What is an acceptable proof of vaccination?

We will check that you have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine before you attend the experience.
